Farewell...

Due to real life time constraints, wefind ourselves saying farewell to our Chief Engineering Officer. Rob Van den Dungen is transferring his character to the USS Seleya which runs at a more appropriate time to fit in with his busy schedule.

General News...

Ok, so I admit I've been a wee bit lax on keeping the website up to date, however, I have somehow found some little time to bring a few things up to date. First of all, since the last couple of news posts, The CEO took a command position on Arcadia station, the FCO has moved to CEO, the CMO has taken over FCO, the CO was discovered to be a Cardassian sleeper and eventually replaced with the true CO, let's just say there has been a major shuffle of the staff rosters and I'm still trying to catch up.

Farewell...

It is with great regret that we bid farewell to Mike Davies, Mike has been serving as our CIV and more recently our CAG in command of the fighter wings aboard the USS Scimitar. Due to work and other real life commitments Mike has made the difficult decision to step down from ACTD for a while but we hope to have him back at some point in the future.

Mass Awards!

The crew was celebrating today after all but 2 of them recieved awards ranging from a CO's letter of commendation to a promotion to the rank of Captain in an out of character announcement. The list of awards is as follows:

CO: Promoted to the rank of Captain
XO: Awarded Starfleet Command Commendation for Gallantry
FCO: Promoted to LtJG
CMO: Promoted to LtJG
CTO: Recieved CO's letter of Commendation
CEO: Awarded Starfleet Decoration for Valour
CIV: Recieved Admirals Letter of Commendation

Congratulations to the gallant crew of the USS Scimitar.

New Assignments!

Well this is nice... as a parting gift from Gina, plotted carefully with the SM, there has been a rather major shuffle of the command staff structure.

The first change was the XO (Commander MacAllister, AKA me) was promoted to take the place of Captain Tamraz Lira Bolitho as Commanding Officer.

The second change was for the 2nd officer (CMO, LtCmdr Abmeraz, AKA Rob Lemmens) was promoted to take my place as Executive Officer.

The final change was that our ship's counsellor (Ensign Numark, AKA Lyndsey Levitt) has now officially been transferred to the position of Chief Medical Officer.

These position changes have been recorded in this site's Personnel Records and have been updated on the vessel roster pages.

Goodbye to a friend

It is with much sadness that I announce the departure of the Scimitar's Commanding Officer, Gina Toye. Due to real life commitments, Gina has been left with no other option than to withdraw her character, Captain Tamraz Lira Bolitho, from her seat on the Scimitar bridge.

Fare well Gina, you are welcome to come and join us again when you have more time.

New Crew Member!

It is with great pleasure that we welcome former Commanding Officer, Martijn Lemmen, back to the crew manifest for the Scimitar.

Martijn previously played Captain Brian Black as CO of the Scimitar and was, in fact, CO when I myself joined the crew. Now he returns to the ranks playing Alec Jarot, Brian's half brother. Lt Cmdr Jarot joins us after serving on such ships as the USS Nighthawk, IKS Qib and USS Luna.

New Website!

After a vote was taken between the crew members on the USS Scimitar, it was decided in an unprecedented 100% vote to switch to this new design which I have been working on. Thanks guys and gals, I was actually worried that it might not be accepted.

New Website design!

I have been playing with a new layout for the Scimitar's website to make it operate and hopefully feel a little more like Star Trek. I've had a lot of positive feedback about it so far, so I hope you will all like it as well.

New Crew Members!

I am happy to announce that we have two new additions to the Scimitar "family".
We have a new Civilian Tactical Specialist in the form of Mike Davies, who will be playing Commander Vidas Leamich Esjam, a Trill who has come to us from the USS Seleya.
Also we finally have a new Flight Control Officer in the form of Rob van den Dungen, who will be playing Ensign Vonir Gnav, a perky young Ullian fresh out of the academy.

I have recently been handed the job of editing this site which I intend to do to the best of my abilities... I will strive to keep it up to date but the first step is to get it there in the first place.
